Trust & Safety

Doing business with someone you've never met

Finding a good spot to vend shouldn't mean gambling on a stranger's lot. Renting out your lot shouldn't mean gambling on a stranger's truck. Vendalize handles the risky parts — insurance, the agreement, the money, and a real person to call. We're not a broker or a landlord, and we're not a party to your booking. We're the rails it runs on.

How we keep it safe

Every vendor is insured — and we check

Vendors carry liability insurance that covers the property owner too, automatically, the moment the booking agreement is signed — no chasing your agent for a new certificate every time you park somewhere. We check every certificate before the booking starts. We don't sell the insurance and we're not on the policy; we check the paperwork.

A signed agreement, every booking

Every confirmed booking creates a signed contract between the two of you: what the space is for, the site rules, insurance, and what happens if someone cancels. Generated and signed automatically — no handshake deals.

The money is handled

Stripe processes every payment — the same company behind checkout across much of the internet. Vendalize never holds your funds. Owners get paid after the booking wraps and the holding period passes.

Cancellations you can see coming

Booked the wrong date? Vendors get 24 hours to cancel for any reason and get everything back, fees included — or until the booking starts, if that's sooner. If an owner cancels without a good reason, you're refunded in full, and you're paid back first. Every listing shows its rules before you book.

We know who's getting paid

Before an owner can list a space or receive money, Stripe verifies who they are and who owns the business. We can ask anyone for more documentation at any time. If something about a booking feels off, message the other side through Vendalize or tell us — the sooner we know, the more we can do.

Owners vouch for their space

Property owners confirm they own the space they're listing, or have written permission to rent it out. If they're not the owner, we don't take their word for it — they upload that permission before the listing goes live.

Feedback after every booking

When a booking wraps, vendors rate the spot and send the owner direct feedback. Vendors always get a say, and owners learn what actually works about their space — access, power, traffic — from the people who used it. It stays on Vendalize, in the booking record.

Everything stays on Vendalize

Messages and payments run through the platform. That's what makes the insurance check, the payment protection, and the dispute support work — take a booking off-platform and none of it applies.

The ground rules

Everyone here agrees to our Community Guidelines: follow the law, list honestly, don't discriminate, and be considerate of the neighbors. The License Agreement and Cancellation Policy cover the rest. See something that breaks the rules? Tell us.

Watch out for scams

Scammers impersonate platforms like ours with fake emails, texts, and calls. Vendalize will never ask for your password, and never asks for banking or card details outside the platform. Get something suspicious? Don't reply — contact us and we'll tell you whether it was really us.

Vendalize is a marketplace — not a party to your booking, not an insurer, not a broker. What's described here are platform features and contract terms, not insurance from Vendalize. Coverage comes from the vendor's own policy, payouts run under Stripe's terms, and each booking is governed by the license agreement both sides sign.
